The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) and Adapted for Children is how one actively considers what it means to be a follower of Jesus and prepares for Initiation into the Catholic Church through Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. RCIA comprises formation periods devoted to community, doctrine, liturgy, apostolic work, and Christian living. The RCIA process is unique to each individual, but the process is mainly focused on the personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
