Special Donations
Special donations support the mission and work of St. Mark Parish and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. You could donate to these accounts through your Online Giving account. Alternatively, you can write a check to St. Mark Church, with the name of the unique collection in the memo line.
Loaves & Fishes - Your donation to Loaves and Fishes supports our Food Pantry. This is an ongoing collection.
Building Fund - Your donations to the Building Fund go towards future projects and needs of the parish. This collection is on the 4th Sunday of every month.
School Endowment - Your donation to the School Endowment Fund helps support low-income parish families attending St. Mark School. This collection is on the 1st Sunday of every month.
St. Vincent de Paul - Your donation to St. Vincent de Paul helps support the poor of our local community. This collection is on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
Together in Mission - Your donation to the Together in Mission appeal will bring Christ’s light, the signs of his love and his tender mercy, into the lives of our brothers and sisters who are hurting, broken, and in need of healing. Please come together in solidarity and let your fellow brothers and sisters know they are not alone. Answer the call today and help reflect the light of Christ on those in need. Together in Mission is launched at the beginning of each year, and donations can be made throughout the year.
Cardinal McIntyre Fund - Your donation to the Cardinal McIntyre Fund will help support those in crisis throughout the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Your contribution will go directly towards emergency needs for children, adults, and families and provides one-time emergency help for food, utilities, medical, housing, or funeral expenses. The goal of the Cardinal McIntyre Fund for Charity is service to the “neediest of the needy,” those for whom no other resources exist. This collection takes place in May.
Flowers - This is your donation that will go towards the church's décor throughout the year. This is an ongoing collection.
Holy Days - This is your donation supporting St. Mark Parish on Holy Days throughout the year.
Catholic Relief Fund - Your donation to the Catholic Relief Fund will help support several national Catholic organizations that aid victims of natural disasters, provide agricultural assistance, water programs, and health care, help alleviate poverty in developing countries, and advocate for policies and programs promote global justice and peace. This collection takes place in March.
Mission Cooperative Appeal - Each year, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles invites missionaries to come and share with us the work of the Gospel being accomplished in the Missions. Your donation to Mission Cooperative Appeal will help support the missions and some of the poorest of the people of or world. This collection date is determined (but is usually scheduled between March and August).
Ash Wednesday - This is your donation supporting St. Mark Parish on Ash Wednesday.
Rice Bowl (CRS) - Your donation to Catholic Relief Services' Lenten Rice Bowl program.
Holy Land Collection - Your donation to the Holy Land Collection helps support the Franciscans who care for the Holy Land Sites. This collection takes place on Good Friday.
Easter Donation - This is your donation supporting St. Mark on Easter.
Priest Retirement Fund - Your donation to the Retirement Fund for Archdiocesan Priests will help provide for all the retired priests. They have committed their lives to serving the spiritual needs of our parish communities and help to assure that they do not have to worry about their retirement years. This collection takes place at the beginning of June.
Peter's Pence Fund - Your donation to the Peter's Pence Collection is to provide the Holy Father with the financial means to respond to those suffering from war, oppression, natural disaster, and disease. This collection takes place at the end of June.
National Needs Combined Collection - Your donation to the National Needs Combined Collection will help support and strengthen the Church at home, support evangelization efforts that offer hope to the needy, build solid spiritual leaders, and provide children and adolescents with positive messages and influences. This collection takes place in July.
World Mission Sunday - Your donation to World Mission Sunday will help missionaries offer practical help to those in need as they share the mercy of God. It will ensure the development of local dioceses and support the work of priests and religious and lay leaders who serve those on the margins and are in most need. This collection takes place in October.
Catholic Campaign for Human Develop - Your donation to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development is to help the CCHD fund community groups that create lasting change. This collection takes place in November.
Retirement Fund for Religious - Your donation to the Retirement Fund for Religious will help support those who have given a lifetime. Senior Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests worked for many years for little pay. Their sacrifices now leave their religious communities without adequate savings for retirement. Your gift helps to provide prescription medications, nursing care, and more for thousands of elderly religious. This collection takes place in December.
Christmas Donations - This is your donation supporting St. Mark Parish on Christmas.
